Poem help

Some time ago, someone, possibly ArMel, posted a short verse, or even
extract from a poem, with the theme that not all men are bastards,
although I don't think those words featured in it. Possibly something
about rooftops, BICBW.

Any ideas?

All men aren't bastards,
Or so they like to think,
They want to be good really,
It's just the demon drink.
