Irish Travellers ?

A recent news story here in my part of Ontario Canada
has me wondering if the 3 men awaiting extradition in Scotland
are some version of Irish Travellers.

of Rahman’s assault. The source said they believed the three men
had been going door-to-door in Canada offering home services
such as paving or tree trimming, and that they often did this

Beware of Irish Travellers unless you kow them Personally. Thet work
here (.ie) at that sort of business a lot. I remember a story of a
farmer arruvubf home and finding they had tarred (formely gravelled) and
were demanding payment. that sort of thing.

I've only just now _ heard of _ Irish Travellers.
.. unlikely to hand them my cheque-book -
.. even before now ..
I was curious about them and their tactics -
- especially in North America ..

Travellers (as a semi-racist term) have been in North America from early
on , If you just just consider that part of society, people who provide
bbasic services, such as tarring or roofing and who movw frequently,
there are many in the present US. A local one that was my friend died
recently and I miss him.
